When my mom and I were driving around doing errands this weekend, to my surprise, she had a Christmas CD playing in the car. It was because there had been nothing good playing on the radio during her previous drive, but it struck me that Christmas is indeed coming very soon. I generally start shopping in November, buy a couple things, and then finish up in the final days before Christmas Eve. Hopefully this year I won’t cut things quite so close!
Below are a few of the items I’ve noticed on Etsy that I think might make good gifts.
Locket by MStevensonDesigns
Custom embroidered letter by ChezSucreChez
Cosette cowl by AllinStitches
True love necklace by trystbykerry
Whale soap dish by FoxAndClover
Birds on a wire painting (custom) by EarthArt
More to come, I’m sure!
(At least one of these will surely be going to my sister, who is the easiest person to shop for. I always end up buying her present first.)
Evidently these bicycle helmets by YAKKAY are only sold in European stores, but if I had one, it’d almost be enough to get me on a bike. Even though I’m a klutz, at least I’d be a safe one!
See at {frolic!}
Edit: The UK-based site 50cycles ships to the US. £87 ($160) + £27 shipping.

I should probably stop spending money for a while (my iPhone’s screen shattered the other day, so I need to replace it), but here are some items I’d like to get sometime soon:
At Urban Outfitters, found via A Little Sussy, $88
Sweaters are pretty much my daily staple from October first until spring. My office is cold! From Anthropologie, $128
I actually don’t own any brown boots, and these are pretty amazing. And expensive. From Anthropologie, $328

How did I not know that my favorite Project Runway designer, Leanne Marshall, has a shop on Etsy? I mean, really? Her awesomeness has been right here all along? I can’t believe I’m so behind on this. Her wedding dress was perfection, and I sure hope she wins the show tonight. In the meantime, I’m checking out her Featured Buyer page on Etsy, and browsing her past sales, hoping something new will pop up soon.
